backgrounds to support members in
reaching their educational goals.
Supported
Education
offers support to members who wish
to work towards improving skills for
employment or personal development,
including:

reading, writing, oral
communication, math,
problem-solving, critical
thinking, and team-work skills
required to succeed at work
and in the community;

Preparing
to write the GED to further
employment opportunities;

Earning
Nova Scotia
’s Adult High School
Diploma; or

Preparing
to enter a post-secondary
institution.

Everyone
is welcome, regardless of whether
they are involved in a formal
education or pursuing their own
independent projects.
Supported Education provides a
relaxed environment where
participants can work quietly on
their own or receive assistance,
guidance, resource materials &
advice, from members or a tutor.
